Youth Ministers
These volunteers assist in the planning and implementation of the Sunday night Faith Nights for high school teens. They are asked to be present for the Mass and Faith Nights each week (4:00pm - 8:30pm) throughout the school year and to meet once per month to help plan the Faith Nights. Their primary tasks are to develop meaningful relationships with teens that lead the teens further into relationship with Christ, to lead small group discussions, and to facilitate activities.
Confirmation Catechists
These volunteers share their faith with Juniors who are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. They are asked to present lessons for 13 Confirmation classes on Sunday evenings throughout the school year, to assist with the Confirmation retreat in the Winter and to be present for the Confirmation ceremony in the Spring.
Children's Liturgy of the Word
These volunteers are adults and high school students who volunteer one or two Sundays each month to either prepare and present a session during the Sunday Masses, or to assist a presenter with the session.
CYO Food Prep Team
These volunteers would help to coordinate the purchasing/donation of the food for Catholic Youth Oshkosh Sunday night program. They would also work on a rotation to be present to prepare and serve the food on Sunday nights.
We provide all necessary training and materials to help you answer your baptismal call to serve in any of these ministries. Thank you for helping us to lead children and teenagers closer to Christ and His Church!
If you are interested in assisting with any of these ministries, please contact either Kristin Bird or Michele Zowin at the St. Jude parish offices. |
